iProven, a health-related products company based in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, has announced that their FMH-139 3pack kit for testing for pregnancy has been released for the UK market and it is available on Amazon UK. When used on the first day of a woman’s expected new cycle, the test kit has been found to be 99 percent accurate. This particular pack is designed for women who are trying to conceive and it comes with three testing strips for those who need more assurance and want to double check their results.
Suzanne from iProven says, “The FMH-139 is 99% accurate if tested on cycle day one - the day you would normally expect your period to start. How does the test work? Good question. When you are pregnant, your body starts to produce the infamous pregnancy hormone hCG. The test is able to detect even the smallest amount of hCG in your urine. If the test detects 25mIU/ml or more hCG in your urine, the result will be positive.”
Suzanne points out that it is important to read the results from the window within 3 to 5 minutes of testing. There should also be a control line on the right side of the window. If there is no control line, the result will be considered invalid. And if two lines appear in the window, no matter if the lines are lighter or darker, the result is positive.
The FMH-139 pregnancy test kit also has a pink cap that fits on the white end. This is designed to help make testing even easier. The user can simply remove the pink cap and transfer it to the other end to make the test kit longer. This will help prevent the messy situation where there is urine all over the user’s hand instead of on the test kit.
Suzanne also explains that the user has to urinate only on the white squares and not on the purple squares. The user is advised to start urinating for 2 seconds and then keep the white squares of the test kit in the urine stream for 10 seconds. It is also possible to simply dip the test strip in a container with the user’s urine. Once again, care should be taken to only immerse the white squares and not the purple squares, and the strip should be kept in the urine for 5 seconds.
Women who are trying to conceive will need to wait for two weeks or 14 days before they can take the test to determine if they are pregnant. It should be noted that on day one, the egg is released and stays for 24 hours in the Fallopian tube, waiting for a sperm to fertilize it. When a sperm is successful in fertilizing the egg, the embryo will immediately begin to grow through cell division. After 3 to 4 days, the embryo will begin moving towards the uterus, and once there, it will attach itself to the uterine wall. It is after the embryo has attached itself to the wall of the uterus that the body begins to produce the hCG hormone. It is only after about two weeks that a test kit would be able to detect the presence of the hormone in the urine.
Suzanne suggests that women who are trying to conceive try to distract themselves during this two-week wait. One way to do this is by exercising, which can help the body to release a lot of endorphins. Another way is to surprise their partner with an expression of their love, such as home-cooked meal, a massage, or a thoughtful gift. A third way is write down their thoughts and feelings in a journal.
