Villa Montessori is pleased to announce that they have awarded the October Teacher of the Month Award to Ms. Dominique. The monthly award is meant to honor teachers who go the extra mile in helping the young minds at Villa Montessori grow and flourish.

“Congratulations Ms. Dominique, our October Teacher of the Month,” says Villa Montessori Preschool Columbus in a post on their Facebook page. “Ms. Dominique is a valuable member of our program and goes above and beyond for her students, parents, and fellow staff members. Thank you, Ms. Dominique, for all you do for Villa Montessori!” Read more comments on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/villamontessoripolaris/photos/a.503254686542299/1192540210947073.
Villa Montessori offers a unique learning experience for every child that enters their doors. The Columbus preschool aims to challenge their students and help them cultivate unique interests that allow them to learn and grow. The school offers children the opportunity to be inspired and intrigued. It exposes them to the unexpected and encourages innovation in every one of its students. Villa Montessori is a space for the most curious and adventurous young children, and their teachers focus on helping them to grow and develop as individuals.
The school has, over the course of 12 years, managed to integrate Montessori and Reggio, two of the most dynamic and inspiring curricula in the world. Every classroom is made to give students new experiences and teach them lessons that they will hold on to for their whole lives. Villa Montessori Preschool welcomes families from all over Columbus and the surrounding areas including Worthington, Westerville, Dublin, Delaware, Lewis Center, Galena, New Albany, Hilliard, Upper Arlington, Easton, Gahanna, and Canal Winchester.
“There’s always something interesting going on in our Montessori classrooms,” says the school. “Our Montessori classrooms are simply and beautifully designed to inspire curiosity, promote hands-on learning experiences, and build self-confidence! After all, the preschool years set the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Our beautiful environments feature comfortable spaces to learn, collaborate, and grow. Students at Villa Montessori are empowered to play and learn at their own pace, guided by their own interests.”
At Villa Montessori, the classroom is considered a representation of a third teacher. Materials and projects are placed within easy reach of children, which allows them a great degree of independence along with the freedom to explore the world around them on their own. Everything the students interact with is designed specifically to ignite and encourage their interests, leading them to discover new aspects of themselves and the world around them.
The preschool features a Reggio-inspired playground that is meant to promote creative play—it is also used as an outdoor classroom for Art and Science. The playground offers curious young students large play structures that encourage them to use their imagination, along with open areas which provide plenty of space for running and climbing. A number of parents have sent their children to Villa Montessori and found themselves blown away by the positive effect the experience had on their children. One parent, Keeli, is quoted saying, “I cannot say enough positive things about Villa Montessori Polaris. The teachers and staff are so caring, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. My child has grown leaps and bounds since coming to VMP six months ago. It makes going to work easier knowing your child is not only well taken care of but happy. I am amazed at how much individual care my child gets at VMP, much more than he got at an in-home daycare. VMP is clean, organized, and peaceful. We are so happy we found this school and look forward to many more years here.”
“You want your child to be independent and confident in anything they do,” says Lakshmi, another parent. “This is the right place for it. Great teachers and a caring environment. When you see your child growing, not just intelligent but also well behaved and mannered, we feel proud as parents that we made the right choice.”
Villa Montessori would like to congratulate Ms. Dominique once more, and encourages all parents interested in what the Montessori preschool has to offer to visit any of their sites to read further.
