Hockey and Fellowship: Lighthouse Treatment Center Alumni Program Organizes Hockey Game Outing

Anaheim, California - The Lighthouse Treatment Center, a residential facility offering drug and alcohol recovery services in Anaheim, California, is hosting its alumni to a hockey game on February 21, 2020 as part of its event calendar.

The outing at the Honda Center will give attendees the opportunity to witness the Anaheim Ducks, a professional ice hockey team competing in the National Hockey League, battle it out with the Colorado Avalanche.

Jocel Bibera, alumni relations coordinator of the Lighthouse, said that they are excited to offer this outing to the Lighthouse community members, which include staff, alumni, and their families.

“For many of our alumni, this will be their first hockey game experience. We are happy we can provide them with a safe, fun, and sober environment to watch with their fellow alumni members,” said Bibera.

Jose Juarez, Lighthouse alumnus and support staff shared that watching sports games together is a great way to develop fellowship amongst alumni members and staff.

“Hockey is super exciting to watch and we are lucky to have the amazing Anaheim Ducks representing the City of Anaheim. To watch their game live at the Honda Center will be an enjoyable and fun experience where alumni members can connect while cheering for the same team,” said Juarez.
