The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 25th, 2019 and will be held from 11 am – 2 pm. It will be held at the Whole Shebang Studio which is located at 1813 S 11th St in the host city of Philadelphia, PA 19148. The cost to attend the workshop is $50. Those who are interested in attending this introduction to acting workshop are requested to call Charlie Sandlan at (215) 600-1669 or email him at studio@maggieflaniganstudio.com to let the studio know they wish to attend.

Sandlan had this to say regarding the upcoming acting workshop, “There are many people out there who dream of pursuing a career in acting. The trouble is many of them feel they have no chance to make it or have no clue how to take the first steps toward making that dream a reality. That’s exactly why we are conducting this exciting one day workshop in Philadelphia. We want people to realize that many of today’s biggest acting names started with the same feeling or in the same situation. This is a great opportunity for people with acting aspirations to see that those with talent can and do make it in the acting business every day once they have some direction and guidance. No one should ever give up on the dream of acting before it ever has a chance to get started. This workshop will make that very clear to those attending by showing them how acting school can greatly benefit them. Those who are curious about professional acting training will be very happy they came to this special workshop.”

The acting school’s master teacher went on to say that every workshop participant will have a chance to work with him and he will gladly answer any questions that the attendees have during that time. He will also introduce them to what is called the Meisner Acting Technique. This specialized acting technique is widely considered to be one of the most popular and effective actor training methods in the world. He says that those attending the workshop will also learn the importance of doing such things as getting the attention off of themselves and then getting into contact with another human being, why they need to respond to their own spontaneous impulses, and they will even learn to listen better. These are the fundamentals of acting that provide the foundation of Meisner’s first year of acting training. Sandlan says that those in attendance will also learn why acting training is so important, what it means to be an artist, and what great acting requires. They will also get better informed about what the fundamental skills of acting are, how artistry and craft merge with an actor’s talent, and how the Meisner Technique was created. He says most importantly, attendees will learn how they can get started working towards their dream of entering into an exciting and rewarding career in acting.
