Fort Myers, FL Company Announces They Have Added Woodworking Baby Gifts to Their Unique Line of Laser Engraved Products

Mark Cox Woodworking has just announced that they have added wooden baby gifts to their long list of available laser engraved items. The company has made a name for itself in the past because of its engraving and etching prowess on wood, metal, and other materials. Wooden baby gifts have added another dimension to the creative ways that the company uses its advanced engraving skills to make some incredibly unique and personalized keepsakes.

Owner Mark Cox first started out making laser engraved items as far back as 1983. “From what started years ago as a hobby I have now turned into a labor of love. I have always been fascinated with creative ways to use precision wood making and laser tools. As the engraving tools that I acquired became more advanced, so did the number of uses I could use those engraving tools for. This also allowed me to be much more diverse in the nature of the projects that I took on. My team and I have enjoyed branching off into making wooden baby gifts and so far, they have been very well received by those that have purchased them too. We here at the shop look forward to continuing to expand our unique line of baby gifts made from wood very soon.”

Cox says that wooden baby gifts are not only unique but they are also very durable. That is very important for something that’s made to last a lifetime. He says that even gives these sturdy gifts the ability to be passed on to future generations as a keepsake. A baby gift owner would have to subject any baby gift that the company makes to some pretty extreme conditions in order to break it.

The company owner says that the first type of wooden baby gifts that he created were wooden baby onesies. He says that was suggested to him by some customers and he liked the idea and how original it was. After experimenting with different ways to get the wooden onesies to come out right, the company owner found that his precision CNC laser engraving machines worked the best. They made a finished product that came out perfectly engraved every time. On the company’s wooden baby gifts page several photos show how the wooden onesies are made from start to finish. Cox starts by selecting one of several different kinds of wood that he likes working with and then cuts it into squares that will fit on his CNC machines. The machine will first cut out the pattern for the shape of the onesies and then next the actual engraving is done. He says that he can engrave just about any message that someone wants to put on the wooden baby onesies but the majority of people choose to use a baby’s birth name, birthdate, and birthweight. The company owner and master craftsman also mentioned that one of the nice traits about using wood for making baby gifts is it can be finished in so many different ways. That includes painting, staining, and whitewashing. The photos on his website’s wooden baby gift page show onesies that are painted up in pink and white and stained in lighter and darker shades.

Cox went on to add that wooden baby gifts have been around for a long time. He says there are all sorts of items that he can think of that can be uniquely personalized for a baby or toddler that are safe and durable. The owner even noted that wooden baby toys and decorations seem to be on an upward trajectory now. He even envisions his company offering such wooden baby gifts as birth blocks, alphabet letters that can spell out a baby’s name, and baby letter blocks in the future.

The company’s website features photos of many items that show off the company’s woodworking skills. Cox says that he has no problem trying to engrave or etch most any type of softer material that will fit on his machines. He says that they commonly engrave everything from team logos on drink coasters to plaques that honor significant milestones in a person’s life or sports career. The owner says that he will be more than happy to discuss with any customer that contacts him the specifics of any engraving or etching task that they want to be done.
