Scottsdale, Arizona based The Country Club at DC Ranch is reaching out to the wider community to share a new update on the COVID-19 situation. The Scottsdale golf club boasts a broad array of activities, including tennis, fitness, swimming, exceptional dining venues and a variety of social events and is only minutes from high-end shopping, world-class entertainment, and luxury real-estate. As such, they believe it is important to keep their members informed of new developments and news.
Melanie Halpert of The Country Club at DC Ranch says, “We just want to clarify certain things that we are hearing regarding our private golf courses. To start with, I am glad to say that we have received great grades for our cooperation in following the CDC guidelines as to protocols and procedures during this pandemic. The Country Club at DC Ranch has strictly adhered to social distancing guidelines, staying six feet apart from people and doing all that we can to create a safe environment for members and staff at Scottsdale golf club. We are also glad to announce that, due to our safety policies, we are now able to resume segments of golf.”
Segments of golf are scheduled to resume once again on June 1st. However, safety measures will still be imposed. Only two non-family riders per cart will be allowed, for instance. Further, walking carts will be put into use for holes 12-13 and 14 with sanitation procedures prior to and after use as well as rakes around bunkers. Halpert adds, “There is not much need to worry, as high temperatures this time of year will eliminate any virus on the rake within seconds. You are still permitted to improve your lie until further notice but please be reminded once again that we are following the directives of medical officials.”
The Country Club at DC Ranch was also pleased to share that they reopened for family guests on the 2nd of June. The club reopened for non-family and Pro to Pro guests on June 13th as well after aerification. However, the Scottsdale golf club will henceforth be closed on Mondays. Further, in every case regarding all guest play, the sponsoring member is responsible for protecting their fellow members by making certain that their guest has been given a clean bill of health prior to coming to the club.
Pro to Pro guests are members from Pinnacle Peak CC, Desert Highlands GC, Desert Mountain and Mirabel who are introduced to the Country Club at DC Ranch staff as members in good standing at the respective clubs. The Country Club at DC Ranch is also pleased to share that their members will have the opportunity to play at these other private golf clubs in Scottsdale as well by having the Country Club staff call their professionals for a time that is convenient for both clubs. The fees for this service will be $50.00 for a member and $90 if there is a guest.
Halpert says, “We have introduced EZ LYFT ball retrieval devices on the flagsticks, and we hope that you will find them helpful in getting your golf ball out of the cup. There is no reason to touch the flagstick, thus they should remain in the cup at all times. This is recommended for the foreseeable future. We’re also glad to let you know that we got the Practice Park renovated and finished in September. The process of turning the driving range into a practice park with a 9-hole short course named THE HORSESHOE started last summer, and it’s completed and open for use now. This course is quite popular and has had over 2000 rounds played since last Thanksgiving.”
