Beverly Hills, CA - The scientific term for dog zoomies is called Frenetic Random Activity Periods (FRAPS), but that term is too technical for most people, so they use the popular term, the zoomies.
Most dog owners can’t help but smile when they see their dogs tearing back and forth across their yards or even their living rooms, in an uncontrollable burst of exuberant energy. These periods of intense physical energy, which seem to be greatly enjoyed by dogs, usually only last a few minutes.
Owners can usually predict when a case of the zoomies is about to hit, as most dogs start to get that look in his eyes and may begin to posture with the owner by bowing before quickly sprinting from one side of the yard or room to another.
