MedSource USA Touts the Benefits of Low Birthweight Babies Being Fed with Premature Baby Formula

MedSource USA is a supplier of products that help babies grow up healthy and assist mothers in the demanding task of breastfeeding. They realize that babies have special nutritional needs than only carefully crafted formulas can meet. This is why they also make sure that they make available Premature Baby Formula products. These products are specially formulated with premature babies' needs in mind and they offer many benefits for those babies that are fed using them.

Company spokesperson, Craig Lissner, had this to say about premature babies’ nutritional needs, “It’s a joyous occasion when any new baby enters into the world but it can also be a scary time too for parents if their baby was born prematurely. Parents can take solace in the fact that nowadays premature baby care is better than ever before and most of them grow up to be healthy and strong kids. A big part of that is the baby formula that is fed to them. Companies like ours have gone to great lengths to obtain and supply carefully designed and researched premature baby formulas that target a premature baby’s specific nutritional needs. Our premature baby formulas can be used either in conjunction with breastfeeding or as a stand-alone nutritional source. Sometimes it may even be the case where a premature baby is so small they cannot latch-on and formula feeding is the only choice. Any mother with a low birth weight or premature baby should highly consider their doctor's advice when it comes to using a premature baby formula to help meet their baby’s special nutritional needs.”

Lissner detailed how premature baby formulas are designed to focus on premature babies’ specific nutritional requirements. The most important of which is to put healthy weight on them. He says that’s the reason why the baby formulas that they sell include ingredients that provide greater calories per ounce, more protein, DHA for brain and eye development, Lutein to support eye health, and Vitamin E to support developing cells. The company spokesperson noted that their premature baby formulas also help address a variety of other health issues that low birthweight babies often face.

He also says that many times the premature baby formulas that they provide can be obtained at little or no cost for parents if they have medical insurance. All a parent has to do is click on the link that says, ‘Premature baby formula Insurance form’ on the Premature Baby Formula informational page on the company’s website. Once this is done, that link will take a parent to a short questionnaire. Once a parent fills out and submits the questionnaire, they will have an answer in approximately 2-minutes as to whether or not premature baby formula purchases are covered by their insurance provider.

Once again, Lissner said it’s up to a premature baby’s doctor to determine if they should start using a premature baby formula and when it’s safe for them to switch to another type of formula. Doctors will monitor a premature baby’s weight, growth, and other measurables to determine when the right time is to make this switch. Lissner also mentioned that in addition to premature baby formulas, the company also carries special baby formulas that address the specific feeding needs of babies that have allergies, sensitivities, or other special nutritional requirements.

MedSource USA is also proud of the job a subsidiary company of theirs, ICBP has done regarding making breastfeeding more convenient for mothers and helping working mothers be able to continue using breast milk as their baby’s main nutritional source after they go back to their workplace. ICBP stands for Insurance Covered Breast Pumps. As the name implies, a large majority of the products that this MedSource USA subsidiary offers are covered by most individual’s medical plans. This is something that was made possible by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) which requires most health insurance plans to cover breastfeeding support and supplies. Now mothers can obtain advanced breastfeeding support equipment at little or no cost to them through ICBP.
